FKA Furtek Komosa Aleksandrowicz becomes a member of the Scandinavian-Polish Chamber of Commerce

In March 2015, FKA Furtek Komosa Aleksandrowicz became a member of the Scandinavian-Polish Chamber of Commerce.

“Joining the Scandinavian-Polish Chamber of Commerce is our response to FKA’s growing portfolio of Scandinavian clients. We want to be open to the needs of our clients and allied law firms from the Scandinavian market in order to be able to provide them with comprehensive advisory. One of our main objectives is to strengthen communication channels with Scandinavian companies and to establish new business relationships,” said Tadeusz Komosa, partner in the corporate and M&A department.

At present, FKA provides legal advice to companies from Sweden and Finland, mainly in the area of corporate, M&A, labour law, competition and tax matters. We also assist financial institutions from the Baltic countries operating in the Polish consumer lending market.

About the chamber

The Scandinavian-Polish Chamber of Commerce (SPCC) has operated in the market since 2004. It was established as a result of a merger of four independent business organisations which, at that time, had already been present in Poland for nearly 10 years. The Danish-Polish Chamber of Commerce, the Finish Chamber of Commerce, the Swedish Business Club and the Norwegian Business Forum became the national sections within the SPCC.

The Chamber supports Polish-Scandinavian business relations and facilitates new opportunities for its members – those operating in the Polish market as well as in Scandinavia. Associating top management of thriving Polish and Scandinavian companies, the Chamber creates opportunities to establish meaningful business contacts by organising numerous meetings in forms which facilitate integration and the building of strong relationships. Furthermore, the SPCC provides assistance to companies searching for business partners and information about the Polish market and the Scandinavian market.

The SPCC is one of the largest bilateral chambers in Poland with over 350 members from various branches of industry, including the biggest Scandinavian investors present in the Polish market. The members of the SPCC represent the most significant industry sectors of the Scandinavian economy such as energy, construction, transport and logistics, telecommunications, the chemical industry, the wood industry, as well as banking and finance. Apart from companies from Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden and Poland, SPCC members include Estonian and Icelandic businesses as well.

The chamber also focuses on promoting Scandinavian culture and values, such as fair competition, transparency in business, corporate social responsibility and respect for the natural environment.
