An employee may be punished for infringement of selected work duties only. Penalty is imposed by the superior and only within the scope provided for in the labour code.
In the course of imposing penalties, the employer takes into consideration such matters as the nature of violation, degree of offence as well as employee’s attitude to work duties. According to the judicature decisions of the Supreme Court, even slight degree of offence justifies a reprimand.
