PIT, CIT The short story of anti-hold-up provisions comes to an end, which will bring entrepreneurs relief, as the regulations had got on their nerves. However, the state has no better idea how to support the creditors.
It was supposed to solve the problem of payment hold-ups and discipline the debtors but it proved to be burdensome and it often brought about trouble in settling accounts with tax authorities. The mechanism of tax expense adjustment used for overdue payments made lives of entrepreneurs a misery, irrespective of whether they have been in delay with paying for invoices or not. Actually, they were against it from day one. And their appeals have been answered.
The legislator treated unreliable debtors neutrally. And, at the same time, it failed to introduce any solution for creditors exposed to payment hold-ups — says Marta Ignasiak, tax consultant at FKA Furtek Komosa Aleksandrowicz law office (...).
