Investment process in accordance with Polish construction law
Construction works are preceded by an entire set of preparatory activities, such as determining conditions for land development, preparing designs and obtaining relevant administrative decisions. All activities which aim at finalising a construction project, from determining land development conditions to commissioning of the facility, are described as a construction investment process. The objective of this memorandum is to analyse the construction investment process from the perspective of an investor and highlight potential risks to project completion. This study concerns the process of constructing commercial facilities and does not take into account simplified procedures applied to smaller facilities or facilities constructed for own use, such as single-family homes.
